My full name is Dauffin Teodoro Buxpy IV, but like all the bears made at Minnie's Co-op Workshop™, you can just call me "Duffy." I am a particular Duffy and my answers here should not be taken to represent us all. It's true to an extent that a lot of us Duffy bears suffer from identity crises...mass-produced mascots of a corporate empire, borne from a dream but now sometimes seemingly determined to take every dime it can from the children and families of the world; offering them generic "magic" in return. We sometimes feel like we're just part of a game; like a sick, cancerous hypocrisy. Other times we worry which of us is real? And sometimes we just eat honeycake! Still we wonder... Is the human sweating away in the mascot suit somehow more "Duffy" than us? And how can we all be the same bear (and we are) and yet all be absolutely individual (and we are)? I envy those among my kin who were adopted by children and high school girls and are likely less burdened with these existential concerns. But my siblings in the shops...waiting, awaiting...fading...I fear for them and wish them godspeed.
